Consecutive Interpretation In consecutive interpreting, the interpreter converts the words into the target language after the speaker delivers one or two sentences. The speaker pauses and waits for the interpreter to convey the message. These pauses are usually small, as a skilled interpreter usually formulates the translation during the speech and pronounces it during the pause. Consecutive interpretation requires special and heavy education and training.

Contact usSimultaneous interpretation Simultaneous interpreting is a mode of interpreting in which the speaker makes a speech and the interpreter reformulates the speech into a language his audience understands at the same time (or simultaneously). Simultaneous interpreters work in an interpreting booth (though they may also be using a bidule (portable interpretation equipment without a booth).
Scope of application:
-
conferences;
-
symposia;
-
lectures;
-
congresses;
-
round tables, etc;
Simultaneous interpreting is not ideal for face-to-face conversations. Due to the real-time conversion, this method should only be used for large events or situations where a conversation is not necessary. Simultaneous interpreters usually work in pairs.
